Hello team, the working week is coming to an end, and we are glad to share with you cases we have been working with during week:
1. Refactoring of invitations page
We have done really nice job about that page. I should admit following items as important:
- Based on Google Analytics data for last year, we applied code which returns user background image, which fits best to width of user agent. How it was: User enters to invite page from iPhome, and waits until we will load him image 1500px in width... not too productive approach, right? So we changed approach to better one! How it works now: we resize upload image to fit most popular sizes. We store in db let's say 3 images: 1024, 600, 320 in width. User who visits us from iPhone sees very quick opening of page. Width of iOS is about 600px. So we don't load for that user 1024px image, but 600. Thanks to storing it in db (and not doing it on the fly), we deliver that image even more faster.
- First time ever our invite page supports MOBILE DEVICES! These are great news and we do beleive it will help people to experience Club Point easier!

2. We did useful Emarsys update
The following algorithm was applied:
- New user gets registered on ClubPoint. After user enters password - we immidiately send request to create new user on Emarsys + we store email of user who invited under condition user was referred to Club Point;
- If user will add some product to cart and fill it - we will send to Emarsys geo-data: state, city user has entered.
- If user will change state/city - we will CHANGE it AUTOMATICALLUY too!
